1. Andrew's Descent (Andreyevskiy spusk) one of the
ancient paths connecting the Upper Town, its central part, with a trade hem.
The street is the Museum of One Street, Mikhail
Bulgakov Museum (Dom Turbinykh), Memorial House-Museum Kavaleridze. Near the
top of the lane is pereulok Desyatinnyy, Bolshaya Zhitomirskaya Street, below - Kontraktovaya

descent (Andreyevskiy spusk) was built on the top of the street in the middle
of the XVIII century St. Andrew's Church.

4. Ploshchad' Nezavisimosti/Nezalezhnosti (Independence
Square, colloquial version of "Maydan") - the central square of Kiev.

6. In November 1982 in Khreshchatyi park (then
Pioneer) was built in Kiev Arch of Friendship of Peoples, whose construction
lasted for four years.

anniversary of the USSR, proclaimed December 30, 1922. It is a monument
dedicated to the reunification of Ukraine and Russia. Arch of Friendship of
Peoples consists of three elements: the arch itself in the form of a huge

7. Mariinsky Palace - a picturesque palace in Kiev on
the right bank of the Dnieper.
Located next to the building of the Verkhovna Rada is
the ceremonial residence of the President of Ukraine. The palace was built by
order of Empress Elizabeth in 1744. The project Baroque was designed by
Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the most famous architect in Russia of the Elizabethan
era. Under the leadership of one of the students Rastrelli, Ivan Michurin, and
a group of other architects, the palace was completed in 1752.

8. Golden Gate (Zolotyye vorota) - one of the few
monuments of defensive architecture of Kievan Rus from the reign of Yaroslav Mudriy.

9. Sobor Svyatoy Sofii (St. Sophia Cathedral) was
built in the XI century in the city center on the orders of Yaroslav Mudry.
At the turn of XVII-XVIII centuries was externally
rebuilt in the Ukrainian Baroque style. Inside the cathedral, numerous ancient
frescos and mosaics, including the famous mosaic Virgin Orans. Sophia Cathedral
was the first, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an architectural monument in
Ukraine.

10. Kiyevo-Pecherskaya Lavra - one of the first of the
founding of monasteries in Rus.
Founded in 1051 by Yaroslav Mudriy monk Antony, a
